Comment on Winsted Memorial Hospital - Winsted, CT written by: Lyal L. 07/26/2012 10:16PM My son suffered from appendicitis just last week and it all happened in a day! Since this is the nearest hospital from our home, this is where we rushed him. At first, they've responded chaotically which seriously added the my tension that time! I even yelled at one nurse for not knowing what to do first with my son! I bet she was an intern here. So anyways, thankfully the doctor came and everything went smoothly and calmly. After being admitted in the ER for a couple of hours, he was rushed to the OR for his surgery because his appendix is really swelling terribly and if prolong it might explode and poison my son and further more complications. So let me cut the story now, this hospital has the capacity to really save lives! With all the equipments they have and great physicians and surgeons. Only thing is that, they must train their nurses more though they were efficient, they still need improvements. Nevertheless, I will always recommend this facility as my way of thanks for saving my child's life!
