Comment on Timken Mercy Medical Center - Canton, OH written by: Debbie B. 03/25/2013 1:25PM I'm looking for a service like the visiting nurses in Akron to help drive my 86 year old mother to doctors appointments. She lives in Canton and I live in New Hampshire which makes it difficult. From what I understand the visiting nurses do not go as far as Canton, and I was hoping you could refer me to someone like that who would help drive my mother to appointments and maybe help get groceries. I have a sister in Akron who does help out but can not do as much as is needed. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Comment on Timken Mercy Medical Center - Canton, OH written by: Shawna K. 11/04/2012 8:22PM My mother was a patient on 7 main for 2 weeks before she passed away....the nurses were wonderful..caring, attentive, and always had a smile for her. I was with my mom pretty much 24/7, and they were always asking what they could do for us....Everyone was wonderful!!!

here. As a man standing by my wife through it all I have

to say I've never felt so unwanted as I did being here. I

really hated the taste of the air when I spoke and was

spoken to by the staff. It was like I was some disgusting

piece of filth that they had no way of removing and just

had to deal with. There was no "Tell me about your

experience at mercy" letter for me to fill out as there

was for my wife. There was no consideration for me

period. Do not have your child here if your man actually

stands by your side. He will get subjected to a serious

bout of what seems to be some serious sexism at this

place. I hate you for that Mercy. That was one of the

most emotional times in my life that you came really

close to ruining if it hadn't been for my focus on what I

needed to be and do for my wife.
